now running an ultra-thin film,
recommended and supplied by
YPS. The material is the thinnest

be supplied with 30% recycled
content for greater sustainability
benefits. This change has
reduced material thickness for
the customer from 35 microns
to 12.5 microns with no loss of
performance a plastics saving of
some 64%.

With the new packaging
line, the instant meal producer
has reported a tripling of its
packaging capacity compared to
its previous system.

Virtue Drinks to Focus on UK and Europe
UK-based energy drinks maker Virtue Drinks is eyeing more distribution in the off-trade
following a round of fundraising. The group has raised £2m from a pool of investors that
included former BrewDog CEO James Watt and Premier League footballer Eberechi Eze.

Founder and CEO Rahi Daneshmand said the company’s “main focus” for investment
is “definitely the UK”. He added, “One of our main objectives with the new investment...

a lot of it is going to be brand awareness and building our community as a brand.”
Daneshmand said the business had developed “some really encouraging distribution”
nationwide in the UK but needed “to make sure people actually know about clean energy
and about Virtue as a brand”. The group also intends to expand its presence in its main
markets across Europe, including Ireland, France, Spain, and the Netherlands.

The zero-sugar and zero-calorie beverages are sold in supermarkets, convenience
stores, foodservice and travel retail.
